Final Demonstration Teaching Narrative Report

August 24, 2016, Bulacan State University (Main Campus) deployed three student
teachers, to have their practicum in our institution, Ramona S. Trillana High School. I, as the
Head Teacher III of the English department, devoted myself in helping the student teachers to
bring out the best in them inside and outside this institution and one of them is Ms. Rosanna B.
Cruz. I had observed her daily growth, I can see that she has a good classroom management skill
and a well-modulated voice in discussing the lessons, and that is a good factor in handling the
class.
Last October 18, 2016, I am one of the observers assigned to witness her execute the
lesson she chose for her final demonstration. The topic is about the Sonnets of Francesco
Petrarch and the Figures of Speech used in his poems. The way she handled the class was very
nice, and she used her time wisely. She neatly prepared her visual aids, mastered the lesson very
well and showed resourcefulness and creativity in discussing the lesson. She handled herself very
well, the confidence and the communication skills is exceptional. Still, she needs to guide the
students to digest the ideas/concepts by providing follow up questions that would stimulate the
learners interest in her lesson.
