This document provides instructions for registering for free SMS alerts about agricultural market rates in India. It explains how to create a new user account on the http://agmarknet.nic.in website by providing personal details and mobile number to receive SMS alerts containing daily market rates and prices. Users can select up to 6 different market, commodity, and variety combinations to receive alerts about and the SMS alerts will be sent daily between 6-7 PM containing the latest or previous day's price updates.

1. URL : http://agmarknet.nic.in.
2. Click SMS Registration link on the home page of http://agmarknet.nic.in
3. e-Alert login page will appear.
4. Click New User button for new user registration.
5. After clicking, a registration page will appear to enter details.
6. Type Name( Only Alphabets are allowed, Give your correct full Name).
7. Type Category(Select from List Box)
8. Type Your (State Name, District Name, Address, Pin Code)
9. Select Sex( Male, Female)
10. Type E-mail Address, Land line Number.
11. Type 10 digit mobile Number preceding with 91
12. Select type of alert you want (through e-mail, sms and both)
13. Select Days of week on which you want the alert
14. Type the period up to which you want alert.
15. Click on one time password which will be sent on your mobile number.
16. Enter one time password received by you on your mobile number in the blank box
and press OK to continue registration.
17. Type Userid and password and confirm password. And press Next to continue.
18. You can opt up to 6 different combinations of markets, commodities and varieties
for one mobile phone number.
19. Many of the daily markets rates will be available by 5.30 PM on website directly
from APMCs. We start sending SMS at 6 PM. In case, the
markets/commodities/varieties combination you have selected did not get updated
by 5.30 PM, we are sending previous day price for such combinations.
20. No rate will be sent in case the chosen combination has no updated rate for today
and previous day.
21. To change the chosen combination, you may type your userid and password on the
sms registration link page. Entire list will come on screen. You can delete, add or
alter the combinations. In case, you forget password, go to sms registration link
page and select forget password, it will ask for your registered mobile number and
userid and password will be sent to you on your registered mobile number
22. In case you do not opt to receive message at any point of time, Delete all the
combinations selected by you. Automatically, your number will be removed from
distribution list. Also, you can use unsubscribe option to stop alerts.
23. Please give publicity so that this service may reach more and more farmers. Please
Help others for registering their numbers.

25. As messages are queued, the actual receipt time of message on your handset may
vary on different days.
26. No message will be transmitted in case, APMC is having holiday or does not have
any transaction.
27. The messages are transmitted from the AGMARKNET website updated by APMC
authorities. In case, there is any variation, please contact the particular APMC.

28. The message is transmitted only for information purpose. The sanctity of the rates
transmitted may be cross checked with respective APMCs.
29. Directorate of Marketing & Inspection, Ministry of Agriculture, Govt of India, State
Agricultural Marketing Boards, APMCs and National Informatics Centre are not
responsible for any loss in any way due to this service. They are not responsible for
non-receipt of message to any individual for any technical or administrative reasons.
