What are the MAIN cause of WWI?


What was the war like on the Western front?
What type of warfare was primarily being used?
How was war different on the Eastern front?
How was propaganda used during WWI?
What were the outcomes of the battles of Somme and Verdun?
Why was Verdun important? (French and German relations)

Students will be able to related past units such as Imperialism and Industrialism to World War I
Students will be able to analyze Primary Sources images to get a fuller understanding of the Brutal
Nature of the War.
These objective relate to the students because they can see the start of the modern period that
they live in now and see how these events directly relate to the world as it is today.

The opening will be bell work the question asked with go over some of the key idea from
the previous days lesson to allow for understand on how that relates to what they are
learning.

Instructional Input

Additionally, the objective will be imbedded into the PowerPoint which will be shown to
the students after bell work in completed. Additionally, the objective will be on the board
at the front of the room.
The entire lesson will be written out on the board going over each step of the lesson so
that students can keep track of what is being covered and when.
Lastly ill make the connects during the lesson on how these events effects how the world
will be going forward and what effects those have today.

with the whole class, while the other instructor will help students as needed.

The accommodations/modification that student will have include extra time on any
assignment that is given,
Students will be able to work with other in groups to read and as question that they
may not understand.
For those that struggle with writing notes Laptops are available for note taking and

research as needed.
