1 PROSPER Introduction

PROSPER is a software that models inflow and outflow of wells from simple to complex. It can be used to design and optimize wells, including artificial lift systems, perform well performance studies, and make sensitivity calculations useful for optimization and forecasting. The main functions of PROSPER include defining well properties and fluid properties, modeling downhole and surface equipment, comparing field data to calculated pressure drops, performing calculations like pressure/temperature profiles and sensitivity analyses, sizing artificial lift equipment, and reporting/exporting results.

correlations can be modified to match laboratory data.
System = to define the wells downhole and surface equipment as well as the reservoir IPR.
Gas lift and ESP equipment data are entered from this menu.
Matching = for comparison of field data with calculated pressure drops in well tubing or
surface piping.
Calculation = Provides you with the relevant calculation options (pressure &
temperature profiles, sensitivity analyses, generated lift curve tables,)
Design = ESP, HSP and PCP sizing as well as gas lift mandrels placement and valve
setting pressure calculations.
Output = to report, export and plot results.
