The lesson plan is for a kindergarten science-English class about observing animal skins and distinguishing between living and non-living things. The teacher will read a book with zoomed-in photos asking students to guess what each item is, then show the full photo. Students will match zoomed photos of animal skins to pictures of those animals. They will also sort pictures of items into living and non-living piles. As an independent activity, students will receive a paper with zoomed skin photos and empty boxes to draw the matching animals. At the end, groups will present their work to the class.
