From the Principal

It looks as though we will have winter this year! The snow and now the
cold have reminded us how nice it was to have such a mild fall. With the
turn in the weather, please remember to send your students with all of
their winter gear. The students will play on the playground everyday the
temperature is above 10 degrees. To play on the equipment the students will need to have boots, snow-pants, coats, gloves and hats. Students with boots will be allowed to walk around the playground but if
they dont have snow-pants they cant get into the snow that is on the
equipment. If a student doesn't have boots or snow-pants they will have
to play under the pavilion on the cement.

Prayer: Lord Jesus,
its true that the
mishaps of life can
make us feel
unsettled.You desire
us to act on your
words so that our
faith can withstand
the errors of our
ways or the mistakes
of others. Keep us
anchored on your
rock, Lord. Help us to
become one with
you, our granite for a
lifetime, here and
beyond. We ask this
in your name. Amen.

Health beats:
Encourage active
play by buying gifts
that get kids and
teens up and moving, such as balls,
bats, skipping ropes
and other equipment. It also helps
them develop and
practice new skills.

The school will need volunteers to help work the gates and concession
stands, January 14th and 21st for the Prairie Catholic Basketball Tournament.
Please contact the school if you are interested in helping as we will need many
volunteers.
The winter Math Counts Competition will be held on Wednesday, December
14th at Huckleberrys Restaurant, beginning at 12:30 pm. Good Luck Saints!
Dont forget to be thinking of getting an act together for the Prairie Catholic
Talent Show to be held during Catholic Schools Week. Acts will be screened
before the event. What a fun way for any individual, group or class to show
off their talent. Sign up sheets are in the office or classrooms, due date
Thursday, December 22nd.
Please do your best to sell the Sweepstakes Calendars you receive in last
weeks envelope. This fundraiser benefits the school. Calendars and money
will need to be returned to the school office by January 23rd.
This is a friendly reminder that brown envelopes are to be returned within
two days.
