Joo Pernambuco, was born in Jatob, Pernambuco, in northeastern Brazil of an Indian
(Caet) mother and Portuguese father. Joo Pernambuco was an important composer of
choros, and also of jongos, valses, toadas, and canes. However his illiteracy left him in
the hands of unscrupulous partners who robbed several important compositions of his.

Verano Porteo is a tango composed by Astor Piazzolla in 1965,
originally as incidental music for the play 'Melenita de Oro' by Alberto
Rodrguez Muoz. Later this became part four movement suite which
represents seasons of the year. This piece represents summer. His style mix
style in tradition and innovation shows why the tango was so different from
the traditional Argentine tango. In this song alternate parts very rhythmic
and the rest of the music captures calm and reflective character. Verano

Tango in D, are important pieces for classical guitar, though he never
composed for the guitar.
Mallorca, Op 202 or Majorca is one of the most popular transcriptions for
classical guitar. It has been played and recorded by guitarists such as Julian
Bream and John Williams and many others. This piece portrays a
mysterious, beautiful island with a Moorish influence.
