Method Statements

Prepare the cover blocks in needed size (75mm, 50mm, etc)

Make some arrangement to curing for cover blocks. ( we have to 7 days curing)

Refer the structural drawings and soft drawings.

Prepare bar schedules by using drawings. Already keeping minimum wastage by


using out cuts for small lengths.

Get the approval from consultant for bar schedule.

Order the reinforcements by sending the bar schedule to bar bending yard.

Check the R/F which is coming from the yard by using get pass and bar schedule.

Place the reinforce bars in separately according to size and length.

Before place the R/F bars in ground we have to use 2x 2 or 2x 4 timber


planks.

Polythene sheets are used to cover the R/F bars.

Clean the formwork before we lay the slab and beam reinforcements.

Place the reinforcements according to bar schedule and structural drawing by


coordinating of supervisor.

In slab we have to select lap placement in both sides symmetrically. Place it one
by one in both sides.

Slab and beam reinforcement are fixed in same time.

Place the covering blocks and chairs with in proper spacing. (minimum spacing
between two chairs or two cover blocks less than 900mm)

Check the reinforce placement according to bar schedule and structural drawing.
Reinforcements (slab net) lay with the proper spacing and check the bar sizes, if
the correct bars are place in correct direction. Keep the reinforcement bars always
align. Supervisor has to check the alignment of slab reinforcement bars.

After the placement of all R/F bars we have to remove all binding particles and
other debris.

Take the inspection by consultant.

Column reinforcements are fixed in one time of their fully height.

The shear reinforcements are place with proper spacing and correct way. The lap
positions are changing by using different length of bars.

Check the covering of column R/F.

Lift wall and staircase reinforcements are fixed in separately.

Safety Activities

Keep the working area very clean.

Wear gloves in working of R/F bars.

Wear helmets in every time.

Wear goggles in suitable times.

Check the machines every day before start the work.
