Difference Between Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008

Windows Server 2008 introduced several new features that were not present in Windows Server 2003, including virtualization support through Hyper-V, role-based installation known as roles, and improved security features like Network Access Protection. It also provided enhanced power management capabilities and faster network transfer speeds compared to Windows Server 2003. 1.2008 is combination of vista and windows 2003r2.

Server 2008 introduces Hyper-V (V for Virtualization) but only on 64bit
versions.
