FAIR Teacher Interview Questions

Provide a brief overview of your education, areas of licensure, and work


experience.

You were given two documents prior to your interview; Choose one of the Staff
Essentials and one component from Teaching at FAIR and tell us how they
connect with your teaching Philosophy.

What are the characteristics of teaching you feel are most effective? Share an
experience that reflects your use of those practices.

Minnesota has some of the highest state standards. How do you ensure that your
students are meeting the state standards?

How do you create, cultivate and sustain a positive learning environment?

Scenario: Its two weeks prior to a break. Students are struggling staying engaged,
you like them are ready for the break, what do you do?

Parent engagement is critical to the success of our students. How do you see
yourself engaging all of our parents for student success. Please give an example.

Equity is a moral imperative for FAIR. Closing the achievement gap is extremely
important. Currently our African American males are our lowest achievers and
currently receive the most referrals in our building. How do you plan to help us eliminate
the gap and interrupt the referral cycle?
