LMC and Cms
EXAMPLES OF CMS :-
WHAT IS LMC
ADVANTAGES OF LMC
COMPONENTS OF LMC
Rosters: A digital roll call sheet for tracking attendance and for
sending invitations to class participants.
Registration Control: The ability to monitor and customize the registration processes of eLearning curriculum.
More choices for creators of curriculum, such as method of delivery, design of materials, and techniques for
evaluation.
Creating economies of scale that make it less costly for
organizations to develop and maintain content for which
they used to rely on third parties.
Improvements in professional development and evaluation, allowing companies to get more value from human
resources while empowering individuals with additional
tools for self-improvement.
WHAT IS CMS
is an application (more likely web-based), that provides capabilities for multiple users with different permission levels to manage
(all or a section of) content, data or information of a website
project, or internet / intranet application.
Managing content refers to creating, editing, archiving, publishing,
collaborating on, reporting, distributing website content, data and
information.
LMS VS CMS
Course management systems are narrower in scope. That is, this
system focuses on the management and distribution of eLearning and
instructor led courses. To put it another way, course management is
often the main function of an LMS a secure place to store and
launch training to a subset of users. In some respect, you can attribute metrics to a course management system, but that isnt a requirement. A course management system also has less need to be SCORM
compliant.
An LMS on the other hand encompasses course management, but is
more robust in that it often implies a subset of learning standards
(i.e. SCORM) for reporting purposes, and lately has started to include
learning that takes place outside of a computing environment. An LMS
can assist in the learning strategy as it relates to improving performance. A course management system is less dynamic, more or less
offering a secure database
