First Choice: Starvation
Reason why: Starvation is a global issue that humankind has struggled with since the beginning of time. Some countries have found more
successful ways to combat the epidemic, but others (like most in Africa) have been unable to find successful combatants.

Second Choice: Poverty

Reason why: Throughout the semester we have discussed the relativity of poverty and the fact that our definition of poverty is vastly different from
that of other countries. I think it would be interesting to research the poverty of a country in which the impoverished are literally indecipherable from dirt.

Reflective Questions:
What resources were most helpful?
The most helpful resources for me were Encyclopedia Britannica and several online sources such as
http://borgenproject.org/causes-hunger-africa/ .
What do I need to improve upon next time
Next time I need to improve my dedication to my topic and commit more to a concentrated topic rather than a thinly spread subject. I also think
that I need to improve upon my brevity when writing; focus on what is needed to be said rather than what can be said.
What will I use for Capstone research paper?
I will likely use a variety of sources including Britannica and internet sources, but I will also try to use sources like Gale and NC Wise Owl.
