ACC/BF173 HW08: Beginning Spreadsheets with Excel

1.

Before getting started: make sure your Control Panel is set to use: English (US) formatting

2.

From my web page:


a) Open "File to change (.xlsx)" save as username08.xlsx
b) Open "File to change (.docx)" copy only the whole table; paste table into Sheet4; close the
Word file do the rest the rest of your work in username08.xlsx

Rename Sheet4 as: TABLE

4.

In TABLE:
a) Remove all the borders
b) Make columns A:D: about 120px wide
c) Auto-height row 1
d) Move the TABLE sheet to be before BIST-100

Delete Sheet5

6.

SAVE

7.

In BIST-100:
a) Delete the first 4 rows
b) Make your entire sheet be: Calibri, size 11
c) Freeze row 1 and column A
d) Make both column 1 and row 1: bold
e) Make all columns: about 100px wide

SAVE

In TEXT:
a) In A1, between "Information" and "School", type: Systems
b) Wrap A1
c) In E1, between "Finance" and "School", insert a line break
d) Make column E: about 300px wide
e) Delete cols B:D
f) Type the following "numbers", so that they are treated as "text", showing the zeros:

In A2: 03122903165

In B2: 03122901277
g) Merge and center A4:B4; then, in A4, type your name and surname

10. SAVE
11. In AUTOFILL, make all columns about 100px wide; then, use the fill handle to do the following
use ctrl-home and ctrl-end to help you:
a) From B1:B80: Turkey
b) From C1:C80: 101, 102, 103, , 178, 179, 180
c) From D1:D80: 101, 101, 101, , 101, 101, 101
d) From E1:E80: PERSON01, PERSON02, PERSON03, , PERSON78, PERSON79,
PERSON80
e) From F1:F80: 12/15/2016, 12/16/2016, 12/17/2016, , 3/2/2017, 3/3/2017, 3/4/2017
f) From G1:G80: 12/15/2016, 12/17/2016, 12/19/2016, , 5/18/2017, 5/20/2017, 5/22/2017
g) From H1:H80: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, , Friday, Saturday, Sunday
h) From I1:I80: JAN, FEB, MAR, , JUN, JUL, AUG
i)
From J1:J80: Bill, Eda, Ali, , Eda, Ali, Jane
j)
Import L1:L7as a custom list; then, from M1:M80, use the fill handle, so that you have: jeudi,
vendredi, samedi, , jeudi, vendredi, samedi
