HALLUCINOGENS
A hallucinogen is a psychoactive agent which can cause hallucinations, perception anomalies, and other
substantial subjective changes in thoughts, emotion, and consciousness. It can be found in some plants
and mushrooms (or their extracts). The effects of hallucinogens can last several hours and vary
considerably, depending on the specific type of hallucinogen. Some of the typical effects of hallucinogens
are: feelings of euphoria; blurred vision; sense of relaxation and well-being; hallucinations and distorted
perception, including visual, auditory, body, time and space;disorganised thoughts, confusion and difficulty
concentrating, thinking or maintaining attention;anxiety, agitation, paranoia and feelings of
panic;dizziness;blurred vision;loss of coordination;increased breathing rate;increased heart rate and blood
pressure;irregular heartbeat, palpitations;nausea and vomiting;increased body temperature and sweating,
may alternate with chills and shivering;numbness. It can be taken in a liquid drop on your tongue. It can
also be taken in the form of a pill (microdot) that you swallow. In magic mushrooms, they can be eaten just
as they are, you need to chew them really well to get the best effect and then swallow them. some people
find that they taste really awful though. they can be put in a cup, and then you pour boiling water over
them to make a tea. You can also use other herbs at the same time; they will mask the taste of the
mushroom.
HEROIN
Heroin is processed from morphine, a naturally occurring opiate extracted from the seedpod of certain varieties of
poppy plants. The opium poppy has been cultivated for more than five thousand years for a variety of medicinal uses.
It can be sniffed, smoked or injected. The initial effects of heroin include a surge of sensationa rush. This is often
accompanied by a warm feeling of the skin and a dry mouth. Sometimes, the initial reaction can include vomiting or
severe itching. After these initial effects fade, the user becomes drowsy for several hours. The basic body functions
such as breathing and heartbeat slow down. The effects on the body from continued use of this drug are very
destructive. Frequent injections can cause collapsed veins and can lead to infections of the blood vessels and heart
valves. Tuberculosis can result from the general poor condition of the body. Arthritis is another long-term result of
heroin addiction.
METH
Meth (Methamphetamine) is a powerful, highly addictive stimulant that affects the central nervous system. Also
known as meth, chalk, ice, and crystal, among many other terms, it takes the form of a white, odorless, bitter-tasting
crystalline powder that easily dissolves in water or alcohol. It is snorted, smoked, injected, or swallowed. Negative
effects can include disturbed sleep patterns, hyperactivity, nausea, delusions of power, increased aggressiveness
and irritability. Can cause decreased hunger and bring on weight loss. In higher doses has a greater rush, followed
by increased agitation and sometimes violence. Other effects can include insomnia, confusion, hallucinations, anxiety
and paranoia. Can cause convulsions leading to death. Increased heart rate and blood pressure, damage to blood
vessels in the brain, leading to strokes or irregular heart beat and cardiovascular (involving the heart and blood
vessels) collapse or death. Can cause liver, kidney and lung damage. Users may suffer brain damage, including
memory impairment and an increasing inability to grasp abstract thoughts. Those who recover are usually subject to
memory gaps and extreme mood swings.
ECSTASY
regulation of mood, appetite, learning and memory. There already is research suggesting Ecstasy use
can disrupt or interfere with memory.
