My current working title is, A historical city with a new age perspective. My log line will
be, Cambridge. What is the truth behind this magnificent city? Come with me into the
heart of Cambridge and see the truth behind its busy streets.
Time management
The launch date is the 17th of March. It will take around three or
less weeks to do the preproduction. It should take around four
weeks for the production process its self. And as for the
post-production it should take around three weeks . Which means I
should easily be able to meat the launch date.
Objective
Im going to make a general information promotional video about our fantastic city. I will
be educating others about the historical side of Cambridge with information about the
architecture and so forth. I will discuss the universities, cultural Cambridge and the new
age (students and racial diversity the youth and their effect on the community).

Treatment
Some resources I will need are; access to a drone or building tops to film the high angle
and areal shots, cameras to film the sequence, microphones to record sound, final cut
pro to edit my video. As for job roles, I need to film, edit, script, cary equipment, provide
for actors, actors and help set up. I personally can do a lot of these jobs on my own,
however I will need some help. I am hoping to get at least three other people on board to
help me with my sequence. These will be Imogen Ranner, to help with caring equipment,
helping set up and post production. my second helper will hopefully be Oscar Carter, he
will also help me with caring equipment, helping set up
and post production. For my last person I will have
Nathan to hopefully be my actor and help cary any
equipment.

My video will be rated U because it is suitable for audiences aged four years and over.
My video is set within a positive framework. There is no discriminatory language. There
will also be limited references to illegal drugs however it has a clear educational purpose
or anti-drug message suitable for young children. There will be no use of bad language,
no nudity or references to sex. Any references to violence or capital threat will be mild
and is acceptable as it is justified by context. This video will be completely promotional
and educative.
Cost
Some estimated prices are:
Actor- 30 per day
Crew- 40 per day
Equipment- N/A
Total: 350
This is all considering the fact that i will be making this videos through my school and
my friends are willing to help out. The estimated budget cost is 400.
Target market
My target market is young people, mainly men, aged 16-21, aiming to visit Cambridge
or go to the university and their parents. They will
have low incomes of 5.50 - 7.30 and hour or be unemployed. They are likely to be
from the UK, places like Bristol or Peterborough.

My product can be distributed digital would be through pop ups and banners. For example when
a person visit a website like Cambridge university or Cambridge county council they will either
get a full screen pop up with information about the video and a link to it or they will have side and
top banners with the same information. These banners will also show up on other websites
depending on what a person is interested in.The main form of distribution for my product would
be social media. For example the product will be uploaded to Facebook pages about the
Cambridge area and club pages e.g. the people of Cambridge or Cambridge University. An
other for of distribution would be Youtube. I am going to be using Youtube as it is a very popular
site and thanks to web 2.0 Youtube has a suggestion page. This means that if someone is
looking information on Cambridge or is interested in the culture it will be in their suggestion
section.
Finally, I will be using websites. For example I am going to ask the Cambridge University web
designer if it would be possible for me to upload my video on their site. Therefore meaning that it
can be easily accessed by people interested in the University its self, interested in studying at
the university or interested in the historical content.
