Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination

This document contains a chemistry exam from 2016 that assesses knowledge of acid-base equilibria. The exam contains multiple choice and free response questions. Question 2 asks students to (a) define an acid dissociation constant and weak acid, (b) use the acid dissociation constant expression to calculate the pH of a solution of carbonic acid, and (c) list the steps for a titration experiment to determine the concentration of hydroxide ions in a solution of soda. The key and marking scheme provides the answers and point values for each part.
