The classes that I have taken with Mrs. Godwin include my freshman year English
class and my AVID 9 and 10 classes. For all three of the classes, my grades were at
a constant A and B throughout the year.
3. What are your academic/career goals? Why?
My goals that I would like to achieve include being more work efficient and planning
out my time. Time management has for the longest time been my number one
weakness and as I am getting older Im improving. I understand that once it is time
for college I will be my own person and have certain responsibilities that need to be
withheld. As a young adult, I need to be able to have that drive and motivation to do
things on my own.
4. Activities/sports in middle or high school. Include grade levels, awards,
program details, etc.
Throughout middle and high school, I have participated in cheer. From Windsor
Knights to Varsity Jaguars, I have been cheering for a total of 7 years. This year I
have the pleasure of being captain with two other girls on the team and hope to
continue next year. In middle school, I played on NVL volleyball and track 7 th and 8th
grade. Through all of middle school, I excelled in playing viola for the school

orchestra, but once I got to the high school I dropped strings and went towards
theater. In beginning and advanced acting class, I had the pleasure of learning the
technique of acting and performing in the Christmas play which inspired my
decision on choosing Nueva Core.

5. Volunteer/community service projects. Include your

role/participation/leadership position in each.
Ever since 7th grade, I have been volunteering at the local Boys and Girls Club. I
attended the club ever since third grade and I enjoy giving back to the club and
spending my hours coaching or assisting their dance clubs. Last year I earned the
Youth of the Year award, representing the Windsor Boys and Girls Club as a leader.
My role in being Youth of the Year is to be a role model for the kids attending the
club and inspiring them to give back to the community. Also, I slowly have been
working with my Arts teacher in photography for my Junior Project. In this job, I will
be assisting him during photo shoots or any editing during the process of coming up
with the final project.
6. Other interests.
I am in love with mathematics. Whenever I had a math class it always seemed to
me to be a competition. Ever since middle school my main goal is to never get
below an A in any of my math classes and if that were to happen, I would get a
slight anxiety attack! Other than math, the arts are my main focus. Being on stage,
creating lyrics, or simply coming up with some crazy ideas is something that
challenges me, but is enjoyable. Also, I love animals! I have always imagined
becoming a veterinarian and caring for any sort of animal.

One of my strong suits is in leadership. I am easily able to take charge of a situation
and thinking it through. Besides being quite shy at first look, I am slowly improving
on becoming more comfortable to talking to others.

feel have impacted your high school career?

My family is broken in half with my mother in Hawaii and I am currently living with
my dad. I think living in a house alone with a single father and older sister away at
college has really turned my life and made a large impact on my schooling this year.
