What factors might determine whether or not instant messaging

would be an appropriate medium to use in a given situation?


The factors that determine instant messaging would an approporitae
medium to use in a given situation are as below:
1: Availability of the Technology
In order to use the instant messaging in a given situation we have to keep in
mind the very important thing is that the availability of the technology, we
are aware of the fact that this instant messaging require the technology, so
to use it in a particular situation we should first see that does the technology
or medium available to us allow us to use or in other words is it available.
2: Culture of the Organization
The second most Important thing which should be kept in mind is the culture
of the organization we are in, does that organization use that medium of
communication do they appreciate it, is being practiced or not. If not it will
not be appropriate to use that mode of instant messaging.
3: Availability of the person whom the message is to be sent
Third factor is that which concerns that whether the person to whom the
message is to be sent is online or not let suppose if he or she is not online
our message will be delivered to him or he will not be able to receive our
message and there will be no further communication process, so it should be
kept in mind first.
4: Formality of the situation
The last but not the least which should be kept in mind before using this
mode of communication is that what type of situation we are facing or to
which particular personality the message is be sent, suppose if it is to be

sent to the Our Superior it will not be good to use such Mode of
Communication.
