Description of how to implement in the class:
The activity will be introduced by going over addition problems with the students to get their
brains going and thinking about adding up all of the numbers. The teacher will use the Smartboard
to show examples on how to play the game to the class before they start playing it independently.
The students and teacher will play the game a couple of times together as a class so that the
students will know exactly what to do when they do it on their own. The students will each have
IPads with access to the game that will be played to review adding different numbers. The teacher
will walk around, while the students are each playing their games, and see how well each student
is doing. This way the teacher will be able to help the students that are struggling with getting the
numbers added up in time. To conclude the lesson, the teacher will write different addition
problems on the board and have the students call out the answers.
