Students are asked to brainstorm a memory, describe it in 2-3 sentences, explain its impact, and list imagery, textures, colors, or elements that could illustrate it. They will sketch their final design incorporating imagery, a surface attachment, and texture. Students will also identify an artistic goal and potential obstacles, and consider questions to ask for help overcoming obstacles.

A Note from Miss Todd:

Have fun with this artwork! I encourage you to embrace the very natural
material. Some of you may connect with the clay right away, while others
may need to experiment with the tactility a little more before you start.
Since the experience will be different for everyone, be sure to ask
questions! There no better way to advocate for yourself than to speak up
when you need a little bit of guidance. :)
