There are different types of writing tasks. Some types include descriptive writing which describes people, places, events, feelings or ideas. Narrative writing tells a story through events that happen over time. Persuasive writing aims to convince the reader of a particular viewpoint through reasoning and evidence. Expository writing explains or informs the reader about a topic.
