Ing Rules Worksheet

This document provides rules for adding "-ing" to verbs to form the present continuous and past continuous tenses. There are three rules: 1) For words ending in a silent "-e", drop the "-e" and add "-ing"; 2) For one-syllable words ending in consonant-vowel-consonant, double the final letter and add "-ing"; 3) For most other words, including words ending in "-y", simply add "-ing" with no changes. The document then provides a list of 45 verbs for students to change into their "-ing" forms and use in sentences.
