1. Reference: Spot report on Shooting Incident dated February 14, 2017.
2. This pertains to the Shooting Incident that transpired in So. Hanawa, Brgy. Matangcong, Sigma, Capiz at around 11:00 in the morning of February 14, 2017. Be informed that the victim Nicanor B. Abijay , 38 years old, married, laborer, and a resident of So. Hanawa, Brgy. Matangcong, Sigma, Capiz, was shot by suspect Fernando L. Havana, 40 years old, married, farmer, and a resident of the same place. Said victim was brought to Gregorio R. Lluch Mmemorial Hospital for medical treatment but was pronounced dead on arrival. 3. The cadaver of the victim was moved to Regional Crime Laboratory Office, Camp Martin Delgado, Fort San Pedro, Iloilo City for autopsy examination. The immediate causeof hist death was gunshot wound on the neck, head and trunk. 4. The suspect was arrested at his house during hot-pursuit operation conducted, but the weapon used in the commission of the crime was not recovered and he is now under the custody of this station for investigation and proper disposition. 5. Further development will be sent to that office as soon as obtained.

1 On February 14, 2017 at about 11:00 oclock in the morning a shooting
incident transpired at So. Hanawa, Brgy. Matangcong, Sigma, Capiz wherein victim one Nicanor B. Abijay , 38 years old, married, laborer, and a resident of So. Hanawa, Brgy. Matangcong, Sigma, Capiz, was shot by suspect Fernando L. Havana, 40 years old, married, farmer, and a resident of the same place. As a result thereof, the victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the different parts of the body and was rushed to Gregorio T. Lluch Memorial Hospital, Capiz for medical treatment but was pronounced dead on arrival (DOA) by the attending physician thereat. The suspect was arrested at his house during hot-pursuit operation conducted, but the weapon used in the commission of the crime was not recovered and he is now under the custody of this station for investigation and proper disposition. The cadaver of the victim was moved to Regional Crime Laboratory Office, Camp Martin Delgado, Fort San Pedro, Iloilo City for autopsy examination. 2 The motive of incident is undetermined and the case still under investigation.
