OBJECTIVES: At the end of the discussion, the students will be able to; A. define economics system; B. differentiate the different types of economic system; C. give strength and weaknesses of major economics system; D. give example situation happens in the economy and give what is their advantages and disadvantages. II. SUBJECT MATTER Topic: ECONOMIC SYSTEM Reference: Basic Economics and Agrarian Reforms by Romeo C. Clemente Pg. 38-45 Materials: Ppt presentation III. PROCEDURE A. Motivation -The students will give their own opinion to the questions being presented in the powerpoint presentation. B. Presentation -The teacher will let the students give their own perspective about Economic System - Point out the different types of Economic System (Capitalism, Communism, and Socialism) C. Discussion - Focus the discussion in the different types of Economic System and their advantages and disadvantages. D. Generalization E. Application - The students will cite some example situation regarding the types of Economic System and determine the strength and weaknesses. IV. EVALUATION - The teacher will post some situation with picture and the students will identify whether what kind of Economic System is involved. V. ASSIGNMENT - Follow-up: example situation on how the system used as mechanism to solve the problems of the economy
