Narrative Report
Our professor in Human Behavior told us that were going to have team building. We are divided
in 5 groups in total, with 10-11 group members each. Im quite excited that time because, its like
were playing together with a common goal; to win and to enjoy the games/ challenges that other
groups prepared for us.
The first group (), prepared us three games. The first one, the game was named, helium stick.
All of the group mates needs to put their finger to the stick and it should be straight downwards.
Its quite tricky because our fingers are not in the same size, I find it difficult. One of our
teammate almost gives up but we motivate her to do her best and it will okay. Were the last
group to finish the task. The second was paper, scissor and stone. All of us should be the same
to which one to throw to the other. For example, if we decided to throw paper to another, all of us
should portray the paper and if not, the other group will get the point. Unfortunately, we did not
win. But its okay, we enjoyed the game. The third and last games were I dont know the name of
the game but you will choose your queen and that queen should be protected from getting wet.
We almost cry on laughing because were like children playing with water on a plastic; thats the
coolest part of the games presented to us by the first group. Our queen was really wet and the
wettest among the queens. Haha. And the end, we got the 4th place and we really enjoyed the
game.
The second group was us, (Team Boogsh Boogsh and friends). We also prepared three games.
The first one was, archer, rabbit, wall similar to paper, scissor and stone. Also the same
mechanics, you will just portray as archer, rabbit or wall. The second one was, pasa bola all
teams should lay down and form a straight line, they will pass the ball using their feet. I could
see that they are struggling a bit, but I know they enjoyed it. The third and last, kagat ka sakin
all of the members in a group should bite the strings attached to a cup and that cup will be filled
with water by them while biting the strings and be transferred to a container. The group with
most volume of water in the container wins. My role was to watch if the groups are doing what is
in the rules/ instructions. I know our leader, Vanessa Rivera did her best and for me she knows
how to handle things, she motivates her group mates well and with that, Im grateful.
The third group was (Wackydudots), they prepared us an Amazing Race. Their leader,
Monique told us to pick a leader. At first we picked, Vanessa. Monique asks who our
representative was; we told that Vanessa and she laughed. So, I think that the representative
should be thin or the lightest of all so we changed it to Trixie before submitting it to Monique.
And as the race starts, Monique told us that the representative should be lifted until the stations.
Were glad that we changed our representative. Trixie is thin and small though. I was assigned to
lift Trixie and its not easy because group members should also be part of lifting thing and all they
did was touching Trixie that it makes things heavier. But we use our strategy to make it lighter.
On the first station was the charades and we did have 5 personalities in 1 minute or less I guess.
On and on, the games went well. The station we find it difficult was the pass the message for it
was like communicating and memorizing well. The memory should be sharp so that it will be
done in less time. Struggling to memorize the words given us, we finished it in right time. And
the results were; we are entitled as champions. We got hello and cream-o as our prize. We are
glad that teamwork really conquers all. All in all, Im happy and tired. But it was memorable to
be the one reason why the group wins.
The fourth group (Team Magaganda), also prepared us an Amazing Race with four stations.
The first station we went was the card pass, all of the group should be aligned and pass the
card by using the mouth, quite hard right?? Yeah, I personally find it hard to. At first and second
trial, we are in a hard time to pass the card to one another. We tried and tried and we finally did
it! The second one was, human pyramid we have to memorize the given tongue twister and
once done, we have to made human pyramid while reciting the tongue twister. The hardest for
me was the human chain, we crawl like a baby and it made my knees hurt. And the end, we are
also entitled to be the champion. We received pizza as our prize. Yum yum! Strategy at its finest.
There is one group left. But I already learned a lot of things. I learned that listening is really
important for a group to work well. Trust is also a must, if you dont trust your group mates, all
of the things that you were doing together will be not make sense. Thinking strategies fast will be
helpful for a group to be productive to finish the task faster. This team building activity makes
me trust and helps me to learn more about my friends.
My grade for our leader: 10 -for doing her best for our group.
