PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Rationale:

Farm mechanization refers to the development and use of machines that can
take the place of human and animal power in agricultural processes. Now a day, the rice
production in Sto. Nio is increasing. And our agricultural equipments are gradually
accepted by the farmers especially here in Sto. Nio. Manual labor in land preparation
is a slow in the rice field.

In response to the problem of rice during pick season of planting, a four wheel
drive tractor has enabled farmers to become easy in land preparation. Using a tractor
will speed up their land preparation process and make it easier for the farmers. The said
project will be closely monitored by the association.

2. Objectives:

General Objectives: The main objective of the project is to improve production and post-
harvest operations through the establishment of appropriate and efficient on Farm-
Mechanization.
Specific:
a. To increase rice production
b. To improve and mechanized the rice production technology
3. Expected Output:
The farmers will increase their income through the mechanization of rice
production.

4. Beneficiaries: 85 members of the irrigators Association and other rice farmers.

RESOLUTION NO. 04

Resolution requesting to honorable and energetic Regional Executive Director DA 12 Engr.


Milagros C. Casis to a grant one (1) Unit 4 Wheel Drive Tractor under the farm Mechanization
Post-Harvest facilities assistance of the AGRI-PINOY PALAY PROGRAM to ASAP IA and
designating the ASAP IA Chairman NOEL N. MONTAO and IA Vice Chairman JULIE M.
PETORIO for safe keeping of the said unit.

Whereas, ASAP Irrigators Association has requested one (1) Unit 4 Wheel Drive Tractor
for the rice production with an area of 121.64 has. and eighty five (85) members, also other rice
farmers.

Whereas, the association designating NOEL N. MONTAO Chairman and Vice


Chairman JULIE M. PETORIO to be safe keeper of the (1) Unit 4 Wheel Drive Tractor of the
Association.

Now therefore, upon unanimous sponsorship of the body be it.

Resolved, at it is resolved. A Resolution requesting to honorable and energetic Regional


Executive Director DA 12 Engr. Milagros C. Casis to a grant one (1) Unit 4 Wheel Drive Tractor
under the farm Mechanization Post-Harvest facilities assistance of the AGRI-PINOY PALAY
PROGRAM to ASAP IA and designating the ASAP IA Chairman Noel N. Montao and IA
Vice Chairman Julie M. Petorio for safe keeping of the said unit.

Resolved finally, that copy of this resolution be furnished to the office of the Municipal
Agriculture Office and to Provincial Agriculture Office.
