Release Notes
This document is a supplement to the AirWave Release Notes. The following sections describe installation and
upgrade instructions, and the resolved and new known issues in VisualRF Plan (VRF Plan) 8.0_496:
l "Installing VisualRF Plan 8.0" on page 1describes the procedures to install or upgrade to VisualRF Plan 8.0.
l "Resolved Issues in VisualRF Plan 8.0" on page 2describes the issues resolved in VisualRF Plan 8.0.
l "Known Issues in VisualRF Plan 8.0" on page 2lists and describes the known issues identified in VisualRF Plan
8.0.

2. Click the installer. If a message asks you to save the installer, click Open. Or you can click Save and install the
file later.
3. Follow the onscreen instructions to install the software.

ID Description
DE25426 Symptom: VisualRF Plan correctly upgrades from VisualRF 7.7_473 to VisualRF 8.0_496.
Scenario: Internal changes to the upgrade process prevents an issue that could cause the
backup VisualRF 7.7 file created during an upgrade to become corrupted, so it would not
load in VisualRF 8.0.
DE25161 Symptom: Complete VisualRF Plan functionality is avaiable for VisualRF Plan installations on
devices running Windows 7 or Windows 10.
Scenario: This resolves an issue were users could not create buildings or floor using
VisuaRF plan on a device running Windows 7 or Windows 10.
ID Description
DE25998 Symptom: The installation process may display an error message, even if the installation
completed correctly.
Scenario: The Install Complete window of the VisualRFPlan installation wizard can
incorrectly display the following error message: "Installation of VisualRF Plan is finished, but
some errors occurred during the install. Please see the installation log for details."
DE23289 Symptom: From the Network view, double-clicking a building or floor does not open the Map
or Floor Plan views.
Scenario: This double-click functionality isn't available for systems running Windows 10.
ID Description
DE25358 Symptom: The channel utilization overlay displays when an active AP is selected.
Scenario: VisualRR is used to plan deployments, not monitor active deployments, so the
channel utilization overlay view should not display when you select an active AP.
DE23289 Symptom: The VisualRF Plan WebUI does not redirect you to the Network view after you
import a floor plan.
Scenario: This issue occurs when you import a floor plan.
Workaround: To open the imported floor plan in Network view, you must navigate to
VisualRF > Floor Plans.
