SETTING AND LOCATION
For our location we chose a wooden area as this is present within many thrillers to give out the aimed response of fear by the audience. The woods being a stereotypical setting/location for a horror thriller there coordinating with the codes and conventions nicely, the reasoning behind this chosen location as it possess the most effect when building tension and carries a spooky representation of isolation and vulnerability. Our second The location consisting of a train station where the prop and costume usage was kept simple to flashback give and will take place, and the narrative begins to build the uncanny atmosphere and allow the become clearer. We made sure to plan on a day PROPS AND audience that toto focus on the narrative. The connotations our knowledge it was going to be a dull and cloudy day to of the long white gown like dress suggests reinforce the atmosphere, filming days only taking place purity and vulnerability to contrast the within school hours to eliminate the chancesdark tone of our thriller. The colour white of the of continuity dress focus that would require extra filming days so we could become visually pleasing to the audience as on editing as this was time consuming in makingthe colours sure weassociated with horrors are darks such as black and deep reds. A prop that stands out to the audience is our character holding a stuffed animal, this reinforces the age of the little girl and CAMERA WORK AND We tried to use as many as different camera shots as possible to enhance the viewing experience by the audience. Ranging of shots from wide shots to extreme close ups, this enhances the experience and adds depth. The use of particular shots pushes the audience focus on particular shots of interest. The use of extreme close ups were used to extenuate the features of our main character of the little girl to expose the physical and mental state she is in and the demonic oddity of our thriller. Wide shots were important within the making of our thriller as the audience followed her making it clear that she was escaping from something or someone. The use of the wide shot also allowed to show the detachment from reality and seclusiveness of her surroundings. We used the cross cutting technique to suggest the passing of time and to avoid lengthy shots that could possible bore the audience. Furthermore using rapid editing when the girl is laying on the floor itching alongside uncontrollable movements to appear in an infernal state, this paired with an high angled shot so show
GENRE AND HOW THE

This effectively contrasts the dark ambiance of our thriller. This is then followed by shots that establish the location to the audience, with the wind blowing could possibly foreshadow what is later to come acting as a metaphor for danger that may later arise. This immediately tells the audience the genre of our film as it HOW THE CHARACTERS ARE carries the appropriate theme and codes of conventions of a thriller. These techniques are used to excite the INTRODUCED audience and make it appear they are on edge. Close up Our girl is the main character in Exitus as she motivates of props that would suggest to be owned by a little girl fit the editing and has the most shots. Being the main nicely with the theme of a thriller as many consist of a focus as she has escaped from her institution and has victim. The music has an eerier feel which reinforce no knowledge of the outside world. She is introduced these codes and conventions, used to unsettle the swiftly as young girls are presented in many thrillers as audience and have doubt that something is going to go victims however our character being the threat. We wrong. The use of the music being in sync and on action decided to conform to the codes and conventions within thrillers with limited or no dialogue. With no dialogue it allows the audience to engage further within our thriller and the narrative, it also allows the music to have more of an effect as the audience rely of this to build suspense successfully and create enigma around our thriller.
