Bs Entrep 4a Reaction Paper
We, the BS Entrepreneurship Fourth Year (4A) Students conducted a seminar with the
Entrepreneurship: A Trend in the Business Industry. It was held on the 7 th day of April, year
2017 at the ground floor of City Hall Annex, Brgy.Isabang, Lucena City, 1:00 to 5:00 in the
afternoon. Students of the Entrepreneurship Department were invited, from second year to fourth
year and also some of the professors also attended the seminar.
There were three guest speakers invited, namely: Mr. Henry P. Regalado, Mrs. Merlita M.
Salcedo and Ms. Marian Christine San Agustin. They all have one thing in common, besides
being entrepreneurs of course, is that they are all successful with their own line of businesses. To
summarize their talks, they were trying to feed all those who attended the seminar, not only the
students but also the professors with their knowledge and experiences in order to inspire us to
dont be afraid to take risks, when you fall you should learn to get up and never surrender no
matter how hard the challenges and obstacles you may face in your life, but rather learn from it
The success that the guest speakers experience right now was never a snap from their
hands, a wish from a fairy god mother or a wish from a shooting star. It was from all the
hardships they experienced from the past that they took hold of and served as their inspiration to
A guest speaker quoted that Life is a Choice. As fourth year students, our graduation is
just a stepping stone for our own careers in the future. It is not a measurement of success but a
beginning of a new chapter in our lives. In this new chapter it is our choice if we are going to the
path of success or not. Of course no one wants to go to the wrong path. It should also be
remembered that going to the right or the wrong path depends upon our own hands. We should
not only base our lives to destiny, luck or everything happens for a reason. We have our
own will, our own choices and our own decisions on how we want to live our lives. Every right
or wrong decision has a particular result and that is what we need to face. Choosing the life that
we want depends upon how we make decisions either good or bad, but the important thing is
when you fail, you should learn to accept and to swim back up to succeed and to live the life you
chose to have.
We, the BS Entrep 4A, being the conductors of the seminar, can conclude that it was a
very successful seminar. Starting from the planning, organizing, implementing the ideas and all
the countless efforts that each one have put in to making the seminar is a huge success for us.
There will never be an I in team. Without each ones cooperation and dedication in handling
the seminar it might not turn out great as we didnt expect it to be.
Each one has their own committees, the financial committee, food committee, technical
committee, ushers and usherettes and so on, and are led by the Chairman of the event. Without
the leadership and dedication of the chairman in conducting the seminar, it would not turn out as
great as it happened. But also, a good leader will never be a good leader if there are no followers.
Everyone was designated different tasks that is why all the work are easier. There are some who
did the layouts of the tarpaulin and certificates, cut letterings for decorations of the stage, cooked
food for the attendees of the seminar, skirt the tables and the stage, there were also sleepless
nights for some especially those typed and edited the certificates and there some who even went
home late the day before the event, but it was all worth it as it was a success!
The day of the seminar was a very busy day for us, some went to school as early as six in
the morning because we needed to finish our decorations, arrange the chairs, borrow wide
screens and projectors, cook food for the attendees and most importantly we needed to get ready
and change to our corporate outfits. As the time for the seminar was approaching, everyone are
getting ready and duties were designated. The seminar had a smooth flow as the program was
followed. Seminars are known to be boring, as we admit it or not but thanks to our masters of
ceremony it was a bit funny and lively, the guest speakers also made the attendees awake and
lively as well. There were no dull moments as we can say. The attendees enjoyed the seminar as
we did. Forums were held for each speaker to answer questions from students. We made a day of
giving of knowledge and experience, as we can see even the professors who attended our
7th Day of April, Year 2017 was an unforgettable experience for us BS Entrep 4A
students. It was a day full of knowledge, fun and happiness, experience, cooperation, dedication,
inspiration, tiredness and even selfies. We hope everyone who attended our seminar benefited
and learned on how to be entrepreneurs. Being an entrepreneur may not be so easy at first, but
through hard work, patience, failures that we learn from and God in the center of our lives, there
will always be success in the end. As we graduate and get our diplomas and as we face the reality
of life, in Gods will and in Gods time it will be our turn to be Guest Speakers!
