Mrs. Manoharadevi Mahendran is applying for a standard visitor visa to attend her nephew's wedding in the UK and visit her son and daughter who live there permanently. She has been issued visitor visas to the UK three times previously and has always complied with UK immigration rules. She is requesting a 2-year multi-entry visa so she can visit her family without reapplying each time, assuring she will not stay more than 2 months per visit. She has held steady government employment for 30 years and owns property in Sri Lanka, so she has no intention to settle in the UK permanently.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Application for Visiting UK to attend my nephew's wedding and to visit my daughter and son.

I, the above mentioned would like to apply for standard visitor visa to attend my nephew's wedding and to visit my
daughter and son who live permanently in the UK. Please find my application and other supporting documents
attached herewith.

I would like to bring to your kind notice that I had been issued with similar visitor visa three times in the past and
I have visited the UK in 2008, 2010 and 2012. I have always been a law-abiding citizen and have never violated any
laws or UK immigration rules and always retuned back to Sri Lanka. Please note that, I am applying for 2-year visa
as my son and daughter live permanently in the UK and I would like to visit them frequently without having to apply
for visa each time. I would like to assure you that I do not intend to stay in the UK for more than two months at a time.

I have been in continuous permanent employment for almost 30 years now working for the Sri Lankan government in
Public Administration and Civil Service. I also own and manage several properties in Sri Lanka which include the
ancestral home that I live in as well as Power of Attorney for a land that my son who lives in the UK owns. Therefore,
I have absolutely no intention whatsoever of settling in the UK permanently and intend to return to Sri Lanka within
two months. (Please refer exhibit A for Letter from the employer and my property details)

Please also note that I have savings of around 8500 part of which I am hoping to use for this visit. Further, my son
has also offered to support me financially as he has done in the past and to provide accommodation and hence we can
very easily afford the cost of this trip without recourse to any UK public funds. (Please refer Exhibit B for my bank
statements as well as my son's letter of sponsorship and his details which include his passport page and his recent
bank statements).

I am planning to attend this wedding with my husband Mr. Kumariah Mahendran and my own sister Mrs.
Manjuladevi Jeyamohan (all of whom are applying together and we have only submitted one set of original
supporting documents) and after attending the wedding and the reception we will be spending time with my son and
daughter as well. (Please refer Exhibit C for Invitation of the wedding as well as all our Birth Certificates which prove
the relationships)

On consideration of the above, I firmly believe you are satisfied with the purpose of our visit and our intention to
return to Sri Lanka and well as our affordability and I kindly request you to grant us with the necessary visa at your
very earliest.

Thanking you in advance,

Yours truly,

............................................................................
(Mrs. M. Mahendran)
