Banfield Elementary School, Austin, MN
o Student Teacher (six weeks- 4th grade). August-October, 2016
o I will be co-teaching with Tammy Wiste in her fourth-grade classroom, collecting
data for a data folder and creating a community blueprint. I will create and teach
three math lessons with help from materials provided by Tammy. I have been
observing her teaching methods and the technique she uses in her classroom.
Southgate Elementary School Austin, MN
o Student Teacher (ten weeks- 3rd grade). January-March, 2017
o I will be co-teaching with Paul White in his third-grade classroom, collecting
information for my student teaching portfolio and completing my licensure
assignment called the edTPA. I will create and teach four shared reading lessons with
materials provided by Paul as well as taking over the classroom for two weeks. I have
been observing his teaching methods and techniques used in his classroom.

Field Experience
Sumner Elementary School, Woodson Kindergarten Center and I.J. Holton Intermediate
School, Austin, MN. (November 2015-March 2017)
o 5th grade- Bubbleology- Science based; Practiced and co-taught a science lesson.
o 5th grade- Clinical experience- Observed techniques used by a 5th grade math teacher
o 4th grade- Literature Circles- Reading based- Using the ETPA lesson plan template,
created lesson plans for an eight-day literature circle.
o 3rd grade- Measurement- Math based; Prepared and taught a math lesson.
o 3rd grade- Classroom Observations- Observed the 3rd grade learning suite at Sumner
Elementary.
o 3rd grade- Reading Intervention- Reading based- Worked with a group of three 3rd
grade students in the field of vocabulary. Within

taught the lesson. Collected data from performed pre-test and post-test.
o 2nd grade Clinical experience- Observed techniques used by a 2nd grade teacher;
taught a heath lesson.
o 1st grade- Environment; Global Studies- Created a bi-weekly lesson plan that engaged
the students in caring for our environment.
o 1st grade- Literature Block- Reading based: As small groups preformed small group
literature circles with two books. Using the EDTPA lesson template to create lesson
plans.
o Kindergarten- CAP Assessments- Observed a kindergarten classroom and performed
assessments pertaining to reading development.
o Kindergarten- Clinical experience; Observed techniques used in a kindergarten
classroom and had the opportunity to teach small group phonics.
