Caversham Wildlife Park Excursion Form

Miss Forrester & Miss Paynter

Dear Parents/Guardians,

The term our class is focusing on the theme of Australia. In particular, our
geography focus is based around the states and territories that make up
our country. As a class, we are already well underway researching this
topic and the students have been provided with their own state or territory
to research. They have been looking in depth at the plants, animals and
iconic landmarks that make up their state or territory.

In conjunction with this, we have planned for students to visit Caversham

Wildlife Park in the suburb of Whiteman on Wednesday, 3 rd March.
Caversham Wildlife Park is a fantastic, hands-on way for students to learn
and discover outside the four walls of our classroom. The park boasts over
2000 animals, birds and reptiles. This excursion will provide students with
the opportunity to get up close with Australian flora and fauna and extend
their knowledge of Australias wildlife.

The excursion will cost each student $10.00 with an extra fee of $4.00 to
cover lunch for students which includes a sandwich, drink and snack.
Therefor, the cost of the excursion per student is $14.00.

Our students will be transported by bus leaving school at 9:30am and

returning around 2:30pm. Students will need to be dropped at school at
the normal commencement time and picked up at the end of the day like
usual.

Students will be participating in a range of activities that include

wandering around the Kangaroo Enclosure, visiting Mollys interactive
farmyard, the Reptile House, watching the Farm Show and lastly meeting
the Wombats and Koalas.

Please let the teachers responsible know if there are any allergies students
may have that will hinder their experience at the Wildlife Park.

This form must be signed and returned to our classroom no later than the
20th February.

Kind regards,
Miss Paynter & Miss Forrester.
