Task 4

The teacher began the listening lesson by showing students a picture to help them guess the story and playing a game to discover the story's name. During listening, students heard a story read aloud twice. After listening, the teacher checked student understanding through discussion and a post-listening activity. From the teacher's perspective, using pre-, during, and post-listening activities provides structure but requires thoughtful planning of each part. From the student perspective, these activities help engagement but some found it difficult to understand with only two listenings compared to their previous three listenings.
