Makhyan is a Medical Doctor and alumni from Master of Biomedicine in Brawijaya

University. He is active and passionate toward social, leadership and research activities. Since

become a student, he is active at various local, national and international organization such as the

Young Leaders for Indonesia Foundation, Heysuccess.com, BEM FKUB. He is also well known

for his research ability. He already awarded with a lot of award, one of them awarded with gold

medal two year consecutively in PIMNAS (Pekan Ilmiah Mahasiwa Nasional- National

Students Scientific Competition) Research Competition. Along with his achievement, he

become a good model that attract other student to participate in scientific activities. He

contribute a lot for development of scientific culture for the student in Faculty of Medicine,

Brawijaya University.

Previously, he worked at my company, Indonesia Medika to develop a Socionterpreneur

project called Garbage Clinical Insurance and conducting various research that contribute toward

continuous improvement of the program. His research was satisfying enough and able to help

Garbage Clinical Insurance to be known and trusted worldwide, obtaining National and

International recognition.

4. What is your reason to recommend the applicant?

I would like to say that health level in Indonesia is low, it is proven with a lot of problem

that happens in many areas in Indonesia. We have still got unsolved cases of disease. Because of

that, sociopreneur and scientist is needed in Indonesia because of the reasons I mentioned above.

Through this LPDP scholarship, I hope Makhyan Jibril could obtain recent knowledge, precious
experience, also build wider network to his self in order to conduct program to solve the

problems. His goal is not only create breakthrough healthcare research, but also how to make it

more effective, efficient and applicable

I believe with great passion, hard work and strong-willed power he possess, he could be

a world class researcher someday. In the meantime, allow me to express a few things about

Makhyan Jibril and the circumstances that have led him to pursue a noble profession as social

entrepreneur and researcher in Indonesia Medika. As one of the consideration, From 2010 to

2014, he was conduct a lot of scientific and social work and he wins a lot of scientific and social

award and many recognition. Overall I am pleased with his academic and non-academic record

and I believe that it has prepared him very well for next graduate school.

If I were to choose two word to describe Makhyan Jibril, it would have to be scientist and

social entepreneur. Research and social program has always been one of the main ways leading

to the accomplishment of his academic and career goals. Research and social program has

always been an integral part of his life. The opportunity to conduct research and social project

was not only a future dream for him, it was and still is calling for him. And I believe he is willing

to fight for the opportunity to continue his calling. He want to continue study, to achieve his

goals and to make our country proud of him. This would be of a great importance for him,

because this is what he is fighting for right now and the reason he changed his old ways. I affirm

that if you give him an opportunity, you will see that the results will speak for themselves.
