1- Purpose:
This procedure describes the implemented training program and identifies training
needs.
2- Scope:
Training procedure will be applicable to all Divisions In ST.

4- Definitions

5- Responsibility:
HR Director in conjunction with Training and development supervisors are responsible for
implementation of this procedure.
6- Description of activities : -
Competence of Personnel
a) Necessary Competence for all personnel shall be determined according to the
steps and the Job Description form No F/ST-OP-09-01 and employee competence
sheet.
b) Determined Competence of personnel shall cover the required Education,
Experience, Training and Skills for hiring process and handling each job
responsibility and authority.
c) ST shall ensure that any person(s) performing tasks for it or on its behalf that have
the potential to cause a significant environmental impact(s) identified or can impact
on OH&S is (are) competent on the basis of appropriate education, training or
experience,

Awareness of Personnel
a. HR Director shall submit a copy of job description card form No F/ST-OP-09-01
to the assigned personnel and obtain his signature as evidence that, he/she
aware of the relevance and importance of their activities and how they
contribute to the achievement of the Organization objectives.
b. HR Manager shall conduct orientation training " 2 to 3 hours " for temporary
labors to ensure necessary information related to each job is communicated
and this action shall be recorded in a the temporary labor file this orientation
shall include awareness on:
Training Needs
A. As a basic source of Identification for Training Needs, HR Director In conjunction
with Training and Development Specialist shall review all approved job
description, the current competence status of personnel and the Performance
Appraisal form F/ST-OP-09-06 and F/ST-OP-09-06 to identify training needs to
comply with the required competence stated in the job description cards.
B. b) Also All dept. heads May prepare a list of their training needs Training
Recommendation " Need " Form No F/ST-OP-10-02 for the personnel
involved in their departments before the beginning of financial Year and
follow the training process.

Training Process
1. Training and Development Supervisors gather all training needs from different
sources (i.e. manager's recommendations, performance appraisal).
2. Training and Development Supervisors identify courses that can be done in house
for a large number of employees & external courses for individuals.
3. Develop a proposed Annual training plan for the organization Form Training Plan
F/ST-OP-10-01 and send to HR Director for approval.
4. After the approval of the training budget by the board of directors, Training
Specialist contacts training providers for arrangements & preparation (reservations,
payments, etc)
5. Training Specialist arranges for the awareness programs & the internal training (
Training Needs or facilities )
6. Training Specialist sends Training Reports to all departments listing logistics
7. Training Specialist notifies participants and or his manager with dates of training
courses Training Notification Memo Form No F/ST-OP-10-03 as a hard copy of
by Mail and awaits confirmation at the beginning of each month.
8. After course completion Training specialist saves a copy of all employee training
materials & Training Certificate.
9. Evaluation forms are prepared by training specialist and sent to Trainees
manager/supervisor for following up Employee Evaluation Form No F/ST-OP-10-
05" after 3 months from the training course.
10. In case of (out of plan training) the department manager shall fill a Training
Recommendation Form then send it to HR Department then follow the previous
procedure then send it to HR Director & Chairman and Managing director For
approval .

Internal Training
Training specialist is responsible for:
1. Contacting training providers to hold the course at our company premises or
instructors to conduct the course.
8. Recording all employee training courses in the Data Base and extracted upon
request using the Employee Training Register F/ST-OP-10-04, a copy of the
certificate and evaluation is kept in the employee record.
9. Evaluation forms are prepared by training specialist and sent to Trainees
manager/supervisor for following up Employee Training Evaluation Form No
F/ST-OP-10-05" after 3 months from the training course.
Internal Awareness
In case of awareness or orientation for employees, the awareness initiator is requested
to issue Orientation Program F/ST-OP-10-07 including employees and instructor
names and sends to HR department.
Upon receiving the orientation program the training specialist shall record such
awareness/orientation in the employee training register.
Training Cancellation

1. Cancellation needs to be done two weeks prior to the start date of the training
workshop after his director approval.
2. Any cancellation after the specified grace period (two weeks prior to the start
date of the training workshop) will require the department's Manager to find a
replacement.
