Excerpts from He is Risen! by Allen Pote


- Share the Good News! He Is Risen! Is a Cantata by Allen Pote which retells
the events of Christs death and resurrection through narration, singing, and
movement, set in contemporary style.

Miracles by Sally DeFord


- Sally DeFord is one of those people so filled with gratitude for her gifts, that
she shares them for free. Her original pieces and arrangements are always
creative, top-quality musical offerings. One of her songs, Miracles, expresses
her philosophy of life.

Eine Kleine Nachtmusik by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart


- Eine kleine Nachtmusik (Serenade No. 13 for strings in G major), K. 525, is a
1787 composition for a chamber ensemble by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
The German title means "a little serenade," though it is often rendered more
literally but less accurately as "a little night music." The work is written for an
ensemble of two violins, viola, and cello with optional double bass, but is
often performed by string orchestras.

Czrds by Vittorio Monti

- Csrds is a traditional Hungarian folk dance, the name derived from csrda
(old Hungarian term for tavern). It originated in Hungary and was popularized
by Romani music (Cigny) bands in Hungary and neighboring lands of Serbia,
Slovakia, Slovenia, Burgenland, Croatia, Ukraine, Russia, Poland, Transylvania
and Moravia, as well as among the Banat Bulgarians, including those in
Bulgaria.

Radetzky March by Johann Strauss, Sr.

- Radetzky March, Op. 228, is a march composed by Johann Strauss, Sr. and
dedicated to Field Marshal Joseph Radetzky von Radetz. First performed on
31 August 1848 in Vienna, it soon became quite popular among regimented
marching soldiers. It has been remarked that its tone is more celebratory
than martial; Strauss was commissioned to write the piece to commemorate
Radetzky's victory at the Battle of Custoza.

Limportant Cest La Rose by Louis Amade and Gilbert Bcaud


- This beautiful song is dedicated to all the "singles" out there... once in a blue
moon, we get hit by a wave of melancholia and start to wonder about The
One who is out there... somewhere... and whom God in His infinite wisdom
hasn't seen fit to introduce us to, just yet.

Old McDonald Had A Farm (American Folksong)


- "Old McDonald Had a Farm" is a children's song and nursery rhyme about a
farmer named MacDonald (or McDonald, Macdonald) and the various animals
he keeps on his farm. Each verse of the song changes the name of the
animal and its respective noise. The song was recorded in 1927.

Laughing Song by Johann Strauss II


This song is sung in the second act of Johann Strauss opera, Die Fledermaus,
by Rosalindas maid, Adele, when she runs into Rosalindas husband, Gabriel
von Eisenstein at a party. Worried that shell get into trouble, she convinces
Gabriel that she isnt a maid by telling him that a maid would never have
small hands, dainty feet, a small waistline, and a large bust such as hers.

Stouthearted Man by Sigmund Romberg


- The New Moon is the name of an operetta with music by Sigmund
Romberg and book and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, Frank Mandel, and
Laurence Schwab. The show was the third and last in a string
of Broadway hits for Romberg (after The Student Prince (1924) and The
Desert Song (1926) written in the style of Viennese operetta. It spawned a
number of revivals and two film versions, and it is still played by light opera
companies. The piece turned out to be "Broadway's last hit operetta", as
World War II and the Golden Age of musicals approached. One of the
musicals soundtracks is the song Stout Hearted Men.

Speak Up! by Luigi Zaninelli


- Luigi Zaninelli, composer, has published over 300 works. He uses the name
"Lou Hayward" for his jazz compositions and arrangements and his given
name for his "serious" compositions. His concert arrangements of Gospel
Hymns and Folksongs for solo voice are a favorite of U.S. voice teachers to
use with college students. One of his compositions is the Speak Up!

One Day More by Alain Boublil and Jean-Marc Natel


- "One Day More" is a song from Les Misrables, the sung-through musical
based on the novel of the same name by French poet and playwright Victor
Hugo, which has music by Claude-Michel Schnberg, original French lyrics by
Alain Boublil and Jean-Marc Natel, with an English-language libretto by
Herbert Kretzmer.

Sa Mahal Kong Bayan by Lucio San Pedro


- Intensely patriotic (like the other compositions of Lucio San Pedro), this
solemn and melodious song is a classic and all-time favorite of both amateur
and professional choral groups.

Sarung Banggi by Potenciano Gregorio, Sr. and Ruben Federizon
- This folk song tells about a woman who is about to go to bed when she heard
an elegant voice. The lady thinks if it is a bird singing. In the shade of the
nighttime, she looks where the sound came from, and she saw his handsome
face.

Pasigin arranged by Eudenice Palaruan


- Pasigin is a Visayan fishing folk song which came from the word Pasig,
referring to the name of the river. The song interprets and takes inspiration
from the life of the fishermen.

Sa Kabukiran by Levi Celerio


- The famous lyricist Levi Celerio wrote Tagalog words for it, which was then
popularized in a recording by Sylvia La Torre in the 1940s. It became such a
hit that a movie was made with the title Sa Kabukiran in 1947.

Guinapong

- "Ti Ayat Ti Maysa Nga Ubing" means "love of a child". In this song, it is a
young girl who is singing. She discourages a very old suitor and tells him that
a young girls love is as sweet as a blooming jasmine in the month of April.
She further tells him that an old mans love is so bitter, she could retch. She
prods the forgetful man to look for a widow who matches his graying hair and
falling teeth. At the end, she tells the old man not to think of her anymore as
her heart is already beholden to someone.
- Pong Pong Guinapong, is a song that depicts about a farmer who cooks
Pakbet and brings this in going to the field.

Sitsiritsit (Alibangbang) Arranged by Arnel de Pano


- Sitsiritsit, also known as Sitsiritsit Alibangbang, is a Filipino folk song. This
humorous song describes a flirtatious woman threatening a storeowner that
the ants are going to get him if he is not going to extend credit, as well as
unusual situations of exchanging a child for a doll or bagoong. It is said to
have originated during the country's Spanish colonization, as its lyrics
suggest the ordinary life during that time.
