Passenger: Good morning.

Ticket seller: Good morning.

Passenger: Id like a ticket to Bath.

Ticket seller: Single or return?

Passenger: A return ticket, please.

Ticket seller: Thats 7.

Passenger: Here you are.

Ticket seller: Your ticket, madam.

Passenger: Thanks. What time does the next train leave?

Ticket seller: It leaves in ten minutes.

Passenger: What platform is it?

Ticket seller: The train arrives on platform 9.

Passenger: Thank you very much.

1. Put the sentences in order:

2. Say if the sentences are true according to the conversation:

a. The passenger wants a ticket to Manchester.

3. Now roleplay the dialogue with the following information:

Student A: You are the passenger. You want a ticket to Liverpool. A single

The train leaves in fifteen minutes. The train arrives on platform 5.


4. Now change roles:

Student A: You want to go to Liverpool and buy a return ticket.

Student B: You are the ticket seller. The ticket costs 8. The train leaves in

20 minutes. It arrives on platform 10.
