About this document


This document contains instructions on using IMI Hydronic Engineering Revit
plugin.
The purpose of the plugins to add piping accessories products to Revit.

Installing the software

Required third-party software


Revit
Revit MEP 2014, Revit MEP 2015 or Revit MEP 2016

MagiCAD (optional)

MagiCAD 2013.4 or newer (with Revit MEP 2014)


MagiCAD 2014.4 or newer (with Revit MEP 2015)
MagiCAD 2015.4 or newer (with Revit MEP 2015-2016)

Installation
Administrator privileges are recommended for installations.

Install IMI Hydronic Engineering Revit plugin.

Installation packages can be downloaded from

The 32-bit version of the program is installed by running

IMI Hydronics Revit plugin 2015.5.1 32-bit.msi

The 64-bit version of the program is installed by running

IMI Hydronics Revit plugin 2015.5.1 64-bit.msi

Information for network administrators:
Plugin requires connection to IMI Hydronic Engineering web site. Standard
HTTP GET (TCP, default port 80 should be used) method is used to retrieve files
from the server. GET response includes file (mime application/octet-stream).
Your network firewall should allow such connections (plugin runs inside Revit
process).

Adding unit to Revit
1. Click Add-ins ribbon tab and Pipe Accessories-button

2. Select device from product tree and product size. Press then Export-button
in dialog down right corner to export it to Revit.

3. Add product to Revit.

4. Click Edit type in properties window to see more device data.

5. Selected product is added to Revit families under Pipe accessories
