Summary
Teacher enters the classroom with square shaped materials and asks questions to children
such as What do you think they are?, What might be their common characteristic? After
she listens to childrens answers, she starts to describe square shape to children. She gives
information about the shape and distributes the materials to make children explore them.
She shows the concept map to children to make them see a variety of square objects. Then,
she wants children to show the square objects in the classroom. After some discussion
about these objects, she distributes the square shaped papers to children and wants them to
form their favorite animal by using these papers. When children form their favorite animal,
they can color and decorate them.
