Our Church Library Gets Update
AUGUST CALENDAR OF EVENTS
Tuesdays – Healing & Intercessory Prayer,

Linda Rinaldi at Work, Organizing Our
Church Library

Under the guidance of Deacon Carol, and our


in-house professional librarian, Linda Rinaldi,
our library has recently been updated and
expanded.

With funds allocated from our church budget,


new books have been purchased and processed,
and are now available for circulation. These “The days grow long in blistering July,

Narthex, and parishioners are encouraged to
check them out, read them, and enjoy them.
SUNDAY CLERGY SCHEDULE
There has been some discussion about starting a August 1 – Pentecost 10, Proper 13
book club within our parish. Please speak with Fr. Thompson
Linda if you would be interested in the creation August 8 – Pentecost 11, Proper 14 - Fr. Brown

OPPORTUNITY FOR OUTREACH
ST. MARY MAG GIVES TALLY AND
JESSIE A LOVING SEND-OFF
Sandhills/Moore Coalition for Human
Care Needs Donations

With students out of school for the summer,


the Coalition finds more families are in need of
food. We are being asked to give generously at
this time.

These items are especially needed:


Spaghetti
Pasta Jessie, Fr. Bob, and Tally
Cereal
Canned Stew On Sunday, July 25, following the worship
Macaroni & Cheese service, our congregation honored Tally Bandy
Instant Mashed Potatoes and Jessie Mackay with a loving send off as they
Powdered Milk begin their third mission trip to Tanzania.
Canned Juice Godspeed, Jessie and Tally, as you go.
Canned Fruit
Canned Vegetables
Canned Beans
Peanut Butter & Jelly
1 lb. packages of Rice
(Also hand soap)

Don’t forget the raisin packages for “back-


pack buddies”.
Donations are truly appreciated.

BASEBALL OUTING PLANNED FOR


Our church will host its 2nd Annual Golf SEPTEMBER
Tournament at Beacon Ridge Golf Course
on Oct. 17. Skip Ragland has agreed to organize an outing to
a Greensboro Grasshoppers ballgame. This will

CHURCH SIGNS ON 211 St. Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church
