This net power curve for the Briggs & Stratton model 19 engine is to be used as a guide for initial gearing and clutch recomm endations for Baja competition. Net performance
values have been obtained and corrected in accordance with SAE J1349 Engine Power Test Code Net Power Rating. Net power values are taken with exhaust and air cleaner
installed. These have been obtained from test results of a limited number of engines and have not been proven to be statisti cally significant. Given the wide array of factors
which can affect engine performance such as, but not limited to, final engine trim (air cleaner, exhaust, sanctioning body ru le variances), equipment set-up, application
limitations, ambient operating conditions (temperature, humidity, altitude), etc. this curve is intended as a reference for g earing and clutch set-up only.
