Step & Touch Potentials

This document provides an earthing calculation for the step and touch potentials of a power house. It includes the design parameters such as soil resistivity, fault current duration, conductor size and electrode length. It then calculates the permissible step and touch potentials. The earthing layout details such as earth mat dimensions and total grid length are provided. Finally, the actual estimated step and touch voltages are calculated and found to be lower than the permissible values, indicating the design is safe.
