EXT. COLLEGE CAR PARK - DAY 00:00:44

ESTABLISHING SHOT - The car park is almost empty since
everyone is going home.
LONG SHOT - A student called TIM BELKIN, 17 years old, is
about to head home when he sees his friend, RALPH RONALDS,
17 years old, who is always chatty, noisy and full of
excitement.
TIM
Hey Ralph!
RALPH
Yo!
TIM
This may sound strange, but have
you noticed the lack of students
recently?
POINT OF VIEW SHOT - Ralph looks around, and the car park is
empty.
RALPH
I guess so... Maybe there's a
couple of trips going on?
TIM
I've noticed this for about a month
now, and the number of students at
the college has been decreasing.
RALPH
I think you're just overreacting,
but if you want, we could do some
investigating before college
tomorrow.
TIM
That actually sounds like fun!
EXT. PARK - DAY 00:02:08
ESTABLISHING SHOT - The park is also almost empty,
especially since it's the morning. There is a large patch of
grass in the centre, surrounded by a path.
MID SHOT - Ralph is sitting on a bench, waiting for Tim, who
is late. He looks around to see if Tim is coming, but he
isn't. Instead, he spots a man in a black hoodie looking at
him from a distance. Just as he stands up to confront the
man, he hears a voice.

TIM
(running, out of breath)
Hey, sorry I'm late! Were you about
to leave?
RALPH
No, I was just going to talk to
that man over ther--
OVER THE SHOULDER SHOT - Ralph looks over, but the man isn't
there anymore.
TIM
What man?
RALPH
Nevermind... anyway, should we get
going?
The two of them start to walk away. After a couple of
seconds, another teenager jumps out at them.
His name is TJ and has been following the two after
overhearing them talking about an investigation, which
excites him because he wants to be a detective when he grows
up. He is 18 years old.
TJ
What are you two up to?
RALPH
Who are you?
TJ
I'm TJ. I overheard your discussion
yesterday and decided to follow you
to find out what you were up to.
RALPH
Were you that hooded man that was
looking at me?
TJ
No, I didn't see anyone of that
description.
TIM
It must have been your imagination,
Ralph.
RALPH
It wasn't my imagination!

TJ
Is that the man you're talking
about?
OVER THE SHOULDER SHOT - Tim and Ralph look at where TJ is
pointing, and they see the hooded man.
RALPH
Yes, run after him!
Everyone chases after the man, who runs away through the
exit
RALPH(CONT'D)
Get back here!
EXT. STREET - DAY 00:03:12
Everyone runs down a series of streets, dodging obstacles
and people. Ralph runs faster than the others and goes on
ahead, around a corner. Once Tim and TJ get around the
corner, there are two ways to go.
Ralph is too fast and out of sight. They turn right, but
they have lost track of the man, and Ralph.
TIM
(out of breath)
We lost them...
POINT OF VIEW SHOT - Tim checks the time and it's almost
time for college, he will be late.
TIM(CONT'D)
Screw college, something strange is
happening here and I'm going to
find out what!
TJ
I agree, can I join this
investigation?
TIM
I don't know who you are, but
having one more person can't hurt
can it?
TJ
Great! Where do you think those two
could have gone?
TIM
I'm not sure. There is a building
(MORE)

TIM (CONT'D)
close by which nobody dares to go
near, it would be the perfect
hiding place for someone like that
suspicious man.
TJ
Why don't people like to go near
it?
TIM
There have been ghost stories,
although most people don't believe
in them. The thing that really
scares people is the fact it's
abandoned, although you can hear
noises coming from inside.
TJ
Well, let's go search that place
then! You lead the way.
EXT. ABANDONED BUILDNG - DAY 00:03:30
LOW ANGLE SHOT - The building is clearly not a welcoming
place - it is old, and in a bad condition.
SOUND FX - BUZZING NOISE - As Tim and TJ approach the
building, they hear a strange buzzing noise coming from
inside.
TJ
Wow, this place is scarier than I
imagined.
TIM
Now you see why nobody has been in
it for a long time.
They head towards the door and open it. The noise stops.
INT. ABANDONED BUILDING - DAY 00:04:55
LONG SHOT/PAN FROM LEFT TO RIGHT - The inside looks worse
than the outside - the room is littered with books, knocked
over tables and chairs, and the floorboards squeak when you
walk on them.
TJ
It really is empty, yet messy at
the same time...
SOUND FX - FOOTSTEPS - They hear soft footsteps from above

TIM
Someone else is upstairs! But where
are the stairs?
There are no stairs in sight.
TJ
Obviously hidden, strange buildings
always have some kind of secret
room or staircase somewhere.
TIM
Well how do you think we reveal it?
SOUND FX - SQUEAKY FLOORBOARDS - TJ checks around the room
for any hidden switches or levers
TJ
There has to be a button behind
this book-
Just as TJ pulls the book out, a secret staircase is
revealed and Ralph walks down the stairs.
TIM
Ralph! Don't run off again!
TJ
Did you catch that hooded man?
RALPH
No... And he's not here.
TIM
Are you okay? You seem quieter than
usual.
RALPH
I'm fine.
TJ walks upstairs while the other two talk to each other. He
looks around and there are strange machines littered
throughout the room. However, nobody is there.
TJ
What are these machines for?
TIM
(shouting)
What machines?
Tim rushes upstairs, with ralph slowly following him.

TIM(CONT'D)
They must be machines that somebody
didn't want to be found.
TRACKING SHOT - A brick gets thrown at high speed through a
window and hits Ralph.
TIM
Are you alright?!
RALPH
Yeah, I'm fine.
TJ looks outside and sees the hooded man.
TJ
It's the man!
Everyone runs outside, but the man has gotten away once
again.
EXT. ABANDONED BUILDING - DAY 00:05:30
TIM
He's escaped once again...
RALPH
That's unfortunate... I don't think
we'll find him again anytime soon
so I'm going to go. Bye.
Ralph walks away from the group
TIM
Ralph has been acting differently
than usual. And with the sudden
drop in the number of students at
college, is he really safe
wandering around alone?
TJ
So you've noticed that as well?
Maybe we should follow your friend
to make sure he's safe, or to find
out where he's going.
TIM
That's a good idea.
Tim and TJ sneak behind Ralph, and follow him without his
knowledge, but he isn't going anywhere that he's been to
before. Instead, the students head towards a dark
alleyway...

EXT. DARK ALLEYWAY - DAY 00:06:42

LONG SHOT - There are a group of people in the alleyway, all
of similar ages. Tim and TJ hide behind the corner and spy
on the group.
CLOSE UP - There is a women dressed in all black, wearing a
tracksi. she is slim and tall and has a black sickle in her
right hand.
EXTREME CLOSE UP - black figure women has a hidden face and
she is wearing a black bandana.
HOODED WOMEN
You're late.
RALPH
Sorry, I was delayed by a couple of
people.
HOODED WOMEN
Okay. I guess since everyone's
here, we will discuss our plan.
TIM
(whispering)
Plan?! What are they planning?
HOODED WOMEN
First, we must infiltrate the
college. This should be easy for
you guys. Once you're in there, we
will discuss what you have to do.
Dismissed.
The group walk away, but Ralph gets called back
HOODED WOMEN
Ralph!
RALPH
What do you want?
HOODED WOMEN
This mark on your head... Did the
man summon you?
RALPH
I don't know, all I know is that a
brick got thrown at my head.
HOODED WOMEN
Come with me. I have a special task

HOODED WOMEN (CONT'D)

just for you.
Ralph and the older man walk away. Tim and TJ try to follow
them into a building, but they lock the door meaning Tim and
TJ can't enter.
TJ
What could they be up to?
TIM
I don't know. It's probably best if
we find out what the others are
doing.
TJ
Good idea, let's go!
