Learning Competency:
Apply ICT Skills in crafting an adaptation of a literary texts, EN12Lit-Ie-31.2

I. Learning Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, 75% of the students will be able to:
a. apply ICT Skills in making an adaptation of a literary text.
b. understand and appreciate the use of ICT in differentiating literature from a Region
specifically the use of blogs.

II. Learning Content/Subject Matter:


Topic:Study and appreciation of literary texts from the different regions written n in
different genres covering Major Genre: Specifically Essay
A. Reference: Book:21st Century Literature from the Philippines and the World, pages
22-25.
B. Materials: LCD Projector, Laptop, Video Clips, Handouts
C. Strategies: Cooperative Learning
D. Values Integration: Teamwork

III. Learning Activities/Procedure:


A. Preliminary Activity
1. Prayer
2. Checking of Attendance
3. Review of the Lesson and Collection of Agreement ,Essay of Doreen
Fernandez(writer ,food blogger, teacher), taken from the Internet. These essays
will be use for the activity later.
B. Presentation
1. Motivation: PowerPoint presenting the different Filipino Delicacies
2. Presentation: Powerpoint presenting Doreen Fernandez Essay Foodscape Food
Magazine (Internet)
3.Discussion: Analysis of the Essay using Literary Criticism
4. Developmental Activity: Application of the Essays including the essay presented
(Foodscape).
The class is divided into 5 groups and instructed to create A Food Blog.
(Use Rubric as Part of Assessment, Rubric for making a Food Blog)
5. Synthesis/Generalization: Socratic Method/Q & A):

IV. Evaluation:
On a half sheet of paper, write the steps in creating a food blog.

V. Assignment:
Research what is Mobile Phone Texttula about. Write in a short bond paper.
