Grade 1 Rubric

The rubric evaluates student artwork on four criteria: colors used, art elements, craftsmanship/skill, and effort/perseverance. For each criterion, performance levels are defined as unsatisfactory, basic, proficient, and accomplished. An accomplished level performance uses all primary and secondary colors, four instances each of art elements with variations, displays excellent technique, and demonstrates exceptional effort beyond assignment requirements.
