PURPOSE : Oil Gun Cleaning

SCOPE : CPP

RESPONSIBILITY : Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

INPUT / TOOLS

Hand gloves
Mechanical tool box kit
Lifting Tools

OUTPUT : Record

PROCEDURE

Make JSA
Take the Work Permit
Loose the jack bolt and remove the Oil Gun
Keep the removed oil gun on the stand
Remove the nozzle tip and clean the same with diesel
Refit the cleaned nozzle in the gun
Tight the jack bolt
Open the air valve fully and and check nozzle for any hole blockage
Ensure uniform distribution and flow of air through all Nozzle holes
Close the air valve and loose the jack bolt
Remove the gun from stand
Replace the copper washer of Oil Gun with new one
Refit the oil gun in oil gun housing
Tight the jack bolt
Clean the equipment and the work area
Surrender the work permit

All the parameters, activities are maintained within prescribed limit.


Any deviation from the norm is recorded and corrective action is taken accordingly.

OHSAS
Ensure PPE, Helmet, adequate lighting near the work place.
Ensure the lifting tools are in adequate condition.
Ensure proper earthing of the equipment / area of work as the case may be.
Ensure healthiness & safety of the entire activities with respect electrical system.
