Oracle Technical Analyst The Role
The Role:
We are looking for an Oracle Technical Analyst to develop and support technical solutions
(customizations, interfaces, reports, extensions etc.) in the area of Oracle Demantra and VCP
suite of products.
Here's what you'll do:
Solution Development
Consult with IT functional teams and business team to identify and document business
needs
Define IT solutions to various business needs and communicate to internal IT and
business teams of available technical options and assist in decision making
Create functional specification, technical design, testing documents and other relevant
artifacts necessary for implementation of IT solutions.
Operational Support
Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and resolving day-to-day IT issues.
Create and modify end user training documents and guides.
Provide hands-on training to end users on various aspects of applications.
Project and Task Management
Create and maintain project plans to implement approved IT projects.
Monitor and control project activities per the plan and communicate status to key
stakeholders.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oracle applications technology.
Should have experience in at least 2 full life cycle implementations in recent releases of
Oracle Applications in a multi-divisional environment.
A Bachelor's degree is required.
Strong command over all aspects of developing and customizing in Oracle technology is
essential.
Technical Skills:
Understanding and technical exposure to Oracle Demantra and VCP suite of products is
highly preferred.
SQL and PL/SQL (Expert level).
Oracle Developer tools.
XML Publisher.
Working knowledge of Linux environments (basic commands and scripting).
Knowledge of OA framework and J2EE/Java.
Functional Skills:
High level understanding of and ability to independently navigate and understand transactions
in:
Oracle VCP, Collections and DSM.
Oracle Order Management, Inventory, Purchasing and WMS.
Oracle General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables.

Project / Process Skills:
Willingness to learn and support new application modules and
technologies.
Knowledge of AIM or equivalent project implementation methodology and deliverables
(specifically all MD.XX series).
Knowledge of standard project management and milestone based task management.
Knowledge of Oracle applications technology related coding and development
standards.
