This document describes updates made in version 5.0 Build 150 of the WinVis software, including: 1) Adjustments to improve communication between the MCE and AIS for more accurate voltage delivery. 2) Enhancements to the pre-trigger capability of in-rush/start-up tests to capture longer and more complicated motor start-ups. 3) The addition of Import/Export functions to allow transfer of individual motor data and test results between databases via .motor files. This allows users to share motor models and test data.

In-Rush/Start-Up
The pre-trigger capability of the In-Rush/Start-Up test
has been enhanced to allow data to be captured from
complicated motor start-ups that may take several hours
to coordinate. In the enhanced version, the first 30
seconds of the In-Rush/Start-Up test performs the same
as before. After the initial 30 second period, any in-rush
current exceeding the trigger level will be immediately
captured and displayed.

Also, the enhancement offers two pre-trigger time


selections: one second and five seconds. The capture
length selections remain the same.

Import/Export Motor
The Import/Export function allows the test data for a
single motor to be transferred between databases. The
file extension is .motor and it is the only file type that
can be transferred using the WinVis Import/Export
function.

Import Motor
Import motor adds the motor and its data as a new motor
to the Plant Layout. It doesnt matter if the root (MCE)
or a motor is highlighted, the import motor will still add
the motor as a separate motor on the tree.

highlight it so that the file name appears in the File
Name textbox. In this example the motor is located

Import Tests to Motor


Import Tests to Motor is used to import test results only
to an existing motor in the Plant Layout and not to add
the motor to the Plant Layout. In order to accomplish
