PO3 Harby Patola reported in the Marasbaras Police Station daily record that on June 1, 2017 at around 9pm in Brgy. Marasbaras, Tacloban City, Dar Ross attempted to kill Mahu H. Yu with a jungle knife. Kardo Probinsyano, Yu's cousin, and nearby bystanders intervened and prevented Yu's death. The jungle knife used in the crime was recovered at the scene. The motive for the incident is still under investigation and a progress report will follow.

AN EXCERPT FROM THE DAILY RECORD OF EVENTS OF MARASBARAS POLICE


STATION, June 1, 2017 ENTRY NO. 009 AS ENTERED UNTO THE BLOTTER BOOK BY
PO3 HARBY PATOLA:

1. On June 1 2017, at about 9 oclock in the evening, in Brgy. Marasbaras Tacloban


City, an attempted killing upon the person of Mr. Mahu H. Yu, a resident of Brgy.
Marasbaras, Tacloban City, was made by a certain Mr. Dar Ross residing in the
same aforementioned barangay, with the use of a jungle knife. Due to the timely
intervention of the Mr. Yus cousin Kardo Probinsyano and nearby bystanders,
killing of Mr. Yu was prevented. Recovered in the crime scene is the jungle knife
used in the crime.

2. Motive of incident is undetermined and the case is still under investigation.

3. Progress report will follow.
