WWW - Ottawa.ca: S.T.E.P - Ottawa Police STEP Program This Month Will Be Focusing On How To Safety

The hydro corridor vegetation has been cleared for the year, which has led to complaints from residents about dogs entering backyards from the off-leash area. Council will consider adjusting on-street parking regulations to allow parking for longer than 3 hours on weekends and holidays. The annual Kanata Expo 55+ will be held on September 15th at the Mlacak Center.

HYDRO CORRIDOR - The clearance of vegetation and trees on the Hydro Corridor

has been completed for this year. This area has been a wonderful spot for residents
to bring their dogs and have them off leash. Now that the trees are gone, I am
receiving complaints that dogs who are off leash are going into back yard.
Although this area is designated an off leash area I would ask that if you are
walking your dog within the corridor that you make sure they are not going onto
residents personal property.

PARKING BY-LAW Council will be dealing with a report in September on the

possibility of adjusting the on street parking regulations on a street with no parking
signs. Presently you can park on those streets for a maximum 3 consecutive hours
from 7am to 7pm on every day, including weekends and holidays. The idea is to
permit parking for longer that 3 hours on weekends and holidays. Register
your views on this topic by going to the city website www.ottawa.ca and click on
the On-Street Parking Survey by August 22, 2017. Let you voice be heard.
